Slam Rules:

  1. Each poem must be of the poet’s own construction.
  2. Each poet has three minutes, plus a ten-second grace period to read one poem. Points will be deducted for those going over the allotted time.
  3. No props, costumes, or music.
  4. Poets will perform in front of five judges. The high and low scores will be dropped and the remaining three averaged for a final score.
